God Focused

How do you look at the trials in your life?

Do you look at them as a reason to be worried-

or as an opportunity for God to move in your life?

How do you view blessings that come into your life?

As a way to promote yourself, or as a means to help others?

What determines what you focus on in your life?

Your feelings, or the Word of God?

As a photographer, one of the main tasks is fixing the focus of the camera lenses in order to get the full picture of their object.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, we are called to use the Word of God to fix our focus to get the full picture of God’s plan for our lives.

Joseph had the right focus!

Even though he went through many trials, God delivered him from the pit, the prison, and the persecution of his own brothers!

While it wasn’t God’s will for Joseph to be thrown in the pit, He still used it for Joseph’s own good and the good of the entire nation.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” ~ Genesis 50:20

Joseph was God focused, and God was able to move in his life!

Is God your focus today?

Take time to focus on the Word of God, and let Christ be the focus of your life!

Forever!

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.

Then he placed his right hand on me and said:

“Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever!

And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”

~ Revelation 1:17-18

This week we are celebrating more than just the Resurrection of Jesus Christ; we are celebrating the victory He took over death, and the promise of forever!

There is no end to forever.

There is no end to the promises of God’s Word!

There will never be an end to His love!

The love that God has for you is eternal.

The gift that Christ provided for you at the cross will never expire. Because of this, we will never have to be separated from the love of God.

We will never be separated from God.

As we move on from Resurrection Sunday,

let us never stop celebrating!

Celebrate the gift of Christ at the cross.

Celebrate the Resurrection that gave Christ the power of death.

Celebrate the eternal gift of salvation that is available for every person.

Celebrate the blessed life that God can provide us.

Celebrate the love of God.

Celebrate the promise of forever.

All Day, Everyday- Pray

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”

~ Colossians 4:2

God desires to have a relationship with you!

Just like our natural relationships,

there needs to be fellowship for the relationship to grow!

How do we fellowship with God?

We spend time with Him in His Word and through prayer!

Take time out of your day to pray!

When you wake up- Pray!

While you get ready for your day- Pray!

While you are driving- Pray!

While you are eating- Pray!

As you work- Pray!

As you play- Pray!

As you rest- Pray!

Before you go to sleep- Pray!

All day, everyday- Pray!

If you desire to have more of God working in your life, spend more time with Him through His Word and in prayer!

You can pray all day, everyday!

Better Than Before

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

~ James 1:2-4

I am so thankful for every trial I have gone through in my life.

God has used them to teach me, guide me, and ultimately, to grow me closer to Him. I am better than before because of my trials.

The same can be true for every one of us!

Though God doesn’t cause pain, loss, or heartbreak to come into our lives- when we turn to Him in the midst of our storms of life, He can use them to make us better than before- a testimony of His love.

God wants to constantly make you better than before!

He designed you! He knows what you are capable of! He will never let you go through something you aren’t able to walk through victorious.

When you are going through a trial, no matter what it is, don’t lose faith! Instead, turn your eyes to God and praise Him!

Let it be an opportunity for God to make you better than before!

And every mountain you climb, you will become better than before- And God will be able to show you how far you have come.
