Dancing With The Unexpected

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,

who have been called according to his purpose.” ~ Romans 8:28

Every day we encounter the unexpected.

Life is the unexpected.

When I was in high school,

I did not expect to have had the life I’ve lived all these years later.

But I would not have changed a moment of it.

Our lives aren’t defined by the unexpected circumstances that come our way,

but rather by how we respond to them.

Many know that my son started chemo treatment last week after being diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.

This has definently been an unexpected situation.

But we have responded in faith, and God is using this situation for our good!

Life is a dance.

It’s responding to the pulling and leadings of life.

We must learn how God wants us to respond to situations.

God knows what the situations in our lives will be before we meet them.

God knows what is coming our way.

Nothing is unexpected for God.

As we face each trial, and unexpected situation, God wants us to follow Him.

He knows the way to get to victory!

He put it in His Word!

In His Word,

God says that He will use all things for the good of those who love him.

That includes the unexpected.

No matter what unexpected situation you are facing today,

trust God’s Word and follow Him!

He will get you through any unexpected circumstance and use it for your good!

Go Enjoy

“Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord.

Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’” ~ Nehemiah 8:10

There is no need to grieve.

There is no need to worry.

There is no need to doubt.

There is no need to be anxious.

There is no need to be stressed.

Instead, go enjoy life.

Enjoy the nature that God has designed all around you.

Enjoy the details of his creation: from the feel of the grass inbetween your toes, to the feel of the breeze on your skin.

Enjoy the sound of music, and the way it can bring you closer to God.

Enjoy the variety of culture found in the world.

Enjoy the tastes of the food that God has made available to you, and discover new favorites.

Enjoy the fellowship of your loved ones.

Enjoy every time you have with them.

Enjoy the gift of being able to give to others.

Enjoy the smiles on the faces of those you bless.

Enjoy the joy of the Lord that is found when you show His love to the world.

Enjoy the joy of the Lord that fills you as you enter into His presence, and enjoy the wonders of this world that He has made for you.

The joy of the Lord is your strength!

As you fill yourself with His joy, you will have the strength to face any situation!

Go enjoy what God has already brought into your life, and do not worry about anything!

Stay Connected!

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.

But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

There is nothing more precious in life than relationships:

Our relationship with God, our relationship with our families, our relationship with our friends, and our relationships that we make as we go through life.

God uses people to bless people.

God puts people into our lives for a reason!

As seasons of life change, as trials come and go,

stay connected with the people in your life!

Don’t let yourself be isolated!

We need people in our lives!

We need encouragement, love, joy, and support through every season of life!

Through the good times and the bad, we need connection.

Take time today to tighten the connections in your life:

Spend time in prayer and the Word of God.

Spend time fellowshipping with God.

Write a letter to your relatives, or plan a lunch date with an old friend!

Stay connected with the people in your life!

The Seed Test

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.

And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

~ Malachi 3:10

For many people it’s easier to trust God with their eternity, than with their finances.

From a natural standpoint, it doesn’t make sense to give away your money in order to have all of your needs met.

Living by faith, however, doesn’t mean living by what makes sense.

Living by faith means to take God at His Word, and to live believing it.

When you pay your tithes this month,

believe that God is going to pour blessings into your life.

Pay your tithes this month with joy, and rejoicing!

By obeying God, you are not only sowing seed into God’s ministry and blessing others, but also giving God an opportunity to bless you.

God always keeps His Word!

God will be faithful!

Don’t just take my word for it… Put God to the test!

Spend time today in prayer and fellowship with God!

Find out what direction He would lead you with your finances today!

It’s Handled!

“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live.

For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.”

~ Joshua 1:5

Whatever it is you are worrying about today- Stop it!

It’s already handled.

There’s no need to run from what you are afraid of today.

There is no need to stress over what you cannot control.

There is no need to be in fear.

God wants you to know that whatever it is you’re going through, it’s handled!

God has already taken care of it! He’s got your back!

You are not alone.

Have more faith in what God can do, than in what you cannot do.

Have more faith in what God can do, than your fears.

Have more faith in the Word of God, than your situation.

God’s Word promises us that He will NEVER fail us, or abandon us.

God’s got your back!

God’s got you!

Don’t worry today- It’s already handled.
