Just Around The Corner

“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.”

~ 1 Peter 4: 12-13

No matter what it is you are going through today- don’t give up!

Your blessing could be just around the corner!

There will be difficulties, trials, and temptations in life but keep your eyes fixed on the promises God has already given you!

Fix your eyes on the solution rather than the problem!

God is always working on our behalf, and doesn’t let us go through any situation without having something good in store for us.

God wants to bless us, and God wants us to grow!

God wants us to stay in a position of faith!

God wants us to be ready for what is just around the corner!

No matter what you are going through today-

don’t give up! Stay in faith!

Your blessing is right around the corner!

Effort To Rest

“So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.”

~ Genesis 2:3

The importance of taking time to rest

keeps stirring in the back of my head.

God would rather have fifty years of a faithful, refreshed servant than one or two years of a burnt out, miserable servant trying to work out of their own strength.

You can’t do anything with your own strength- so don’t even try!

You need God!

You need God’s strength!

In order to receive strength from God to overcome situations, we must follow in His footsteps.

If God made an effort to rest, we need to make an effort to rest.

I do not believe that God took the seventh day to rest because He had worn Himself out and needed a break.

No. I believe that God took time to rest because it is important to rest.

God doesn’t do anything with no purpose.

Resting has a purpose!

Resting assures that you will have the strength to make it through the big picture to the end of the race, rather than burning out after the first lap.

Rest For Success

“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing;
so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,
because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”
~ Genesis 2: 2-3

A lot of times when goal-oriented people have a project,
they have all of the key factors mapped out to help them be succesful.
But a lot of the times, they miss one of the most important steps: rest.

If even God took a day of rest, so should you.
How can you give 100%, if you yourself are not 100%?

Doing your best doesn’t mean wearing yourself out thin.
Doing your best requires you to be at your best.

Taking time to rest is more important than finishing your daily to-do list.

Take time today to rest, and rest in the Word of God.
Let God’s peace fill you today with the rest and strength you need to fufill the calling on your life.
Let God’s peace be the strength that allows you finish the race set before you!

Overcoming Overwhelmed

Everyone get’s overwhelmed at times. During this busy time of year, it can be very tempting to give into the feelings of lack of control, stress, anxiety, or even depression. But God’s desire for us is for us to let him take care of us!

The Bible tells us that we shouldn’t give into these feelings. God has provided everything to take care of our needs and gave his word to show us what to do during stressful times.

Remember That God Is In Control

God has a plan for plan for your life that is good and is meant to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11). He loves you more than you could ever imagine and has already won all of our battles (Deuteronomy 20:4, Isaiah 42:13, John 3:16).

Trust God, he WILL take care of your every need. You don’t have to be in control, LET God take care of everything for you!

Equip Yourself With What God Has Already Given You

God knows our needs even before we know them! He has given us the strength, peace, and courage that we need to overcome any situation (2 Timothy 1:7, Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10). He is our peace! He’s already provided the spiritual and physical resources that we need (1 Peter 4:10-11, Philippians 4:19, Luke 12:24, Matthew 7:11), all we have to do is accept them and use them!

Get in the word and discover what God has given you! You have everything you need to get you through your situation, and God is right there with you every step of the way!

Take Time To Rest

The Bible tells us that we don’t need to worry. God has promised us to take care of our every need. All we need to do is to rest in his promises (Matthew 11:28). Take time to rest you physical body. Even God took time to rest (Genesis 2:2), why wouldn’t we need to?

The more you allow yourself to rest in God’s promises, the more he is able to transform your life.

Take Time To Be With God

God is your father, and he desires to have a relationship with you (Psalm 68:5, Matthew 6:6)! Go for a hike, go fishing, or anything else that you enjoy. God cares about what you care about! Spend time with him! Get to know who your father us (Romans 10:17).

The more you know who your father is, the more you will understand that you don’t have anything to worry about. There is no need to be overwhelmed.

Trust in God! He will never fail you!

Rejoice Your Way To Victory

“But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy;
And may You shelter them,
That those who love Your name may exult in You.”
~ Psalm 5:11

Sometimes when you feel absolutely hopeless, and don’t see a way out, the best solution is just to rejoice and give thanks.
Rejoice even when you don’t feel like it.
Rejoice even when it doesn’t make sense.
Rejoice even when you don’t see the victory.
Rejoice though the tears.
Rejoice through the pain.

When we rejoice is opens up our heart to God.
When we rejoice it allows God to move in us.
When we rejoice, it puts us in a position for victory.
When we rejoice, it takes our eyes off of the problem, and onto the solution.

Take your eyes off of the battle today,
and instead focus on the victory that has already been given to you!
Rejoice your way to victory!
