Feeling Overwhelmed?

Everyone get’s overwhelmed at times. During this busy time of year, it can be very tempting to give into the feelings of lack of control, stress, anxiety, or even depression. But God’s desire for us is for us to let him take care of us!

The Bible tells us that we shouldn’t give into these feelings. God has provided everything to take care of our needs and gave his word to show us what to do during stressful times.

Remember That God Is In Control

Trust God, he WILL take care of your every need. You don’t have to be in control, LET God take care of everything for you!

Equip Yourself With What God Has Already Given You

God knows our needs even before we know them! He has given us the strength, peace, and courage that we need to overcome any situation. He is our peace! He’s already provided the spiritual and physical resources that we need, all we have to do is accept them and use them!

Get in the word and discover what God has given you! You have everything you need to get you through your situation, and God is right there with you every step of the way!

Take Time To Rest

The Bible tells us that we don’t need to worry. God has promised us to take care of our every need. All we need to do is to rest in his promises. Take time to rest you physical body. Even God took time to rest, why wouldn’t we need to?

The more you allow yourself to rest in God’s promises, the more he is able to transform your life.

Take Time To Be With God

God is your father, and he desires to have a relationship with you! Go for a hike, go fishing, or anything else that you enjoy. God cares about what you care about! Spend time with him! Get to know who your father us.

The more you know who your father is, the more you will understand that you don’t have anything to worry about. There is no need to be overwhelmed.

Trust in God! He will never fail you!

What Do You Believe?

Belief is either empowering or limiting. It can open up doors for you, or shut them right in your face.

Do you believe the best about yourself, or do you focus on all the things you cannot accomplish? If you are always UNDERVALUING who you are, and OVERVALUING who you’re not and what you can’t do, you’ll never do much or make a difference.

Now think about the flip side of that now instead. When you believe in yourself, and have confidence in Christ in you, you can do a lot and make a BIG difference!

Believe in yourself even when the rest of the world doesn’t.

Believe in the dream God’s given you even when others don’t.

See what God sees, and believe what He believes!

A Call To Action

When I think about September 11th, 2001 I think about the men and women who took action in the midst of chaos.

I think about what must have been going through their minds, and the fear they had to put aside in order to respond effectively.

I think about the selflessness it required to put the lives of others above their own fear.

When the passengers and crew of Flight 93 realized that their aircraft was intended to create more tragedy, they created their own call to action. Rather than be paralized by fear, the crew and passengers of Flight 93 took action to put and end to any further evil intentions against our country.

Sixteen years later, a call to action still stands.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” – 1 Peter 5: 8-9

Our country is under attack. Our world is a target to a terrorist who seeks only to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10).

But there is no need to fear!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

~ Joshua 1:9

God is with us! God has already provided us all we need to resist the devils attacks!

Yes, there is fear and confusion all around the world today- But you have been given a call to action!

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28: 16-20

It is easy to be afraid and confused by what is going on in the world, but there is a cause much greater than ourselves. There are people that need to know the truth of God’s love. They need to know the Gospel of Christ.

Their lives depend on it.

Rather than be paralized by fear in the chaos, we need to take action!

Take on the call to action today. Put down your fear, and respond with faith and love. God is with us, and will never leave us. There is no need to fear.

I encourage you to take time today to share the love of God with another.

Use Your Weapons!

As you face each day, remember that you have a weapon, a tool, of which can transform each moment.

The power of the tongue, the effect of our words, has the ability to leave an impact for God on generations throughout all the nations.

The power of our words cannot be described simply with our own comprehension.

The Bible describes our tongue as a sword (Proverbs 12:18); it has the power for our words to bring life or death (Proverbs 18:21).

The words you speak impact your life. Just as a wheel steers a car or a paddle a boat, your tongue steers the direction that your life is going (James 3:4).

When you speak the truth of God’s word, love, and positive confesions they will come to pass in your life. The same is true of speaking negatively, however. If you are always a negative-nancy, your life won’t go down such a positive path.

The words you speak impact the lives of those around you. Just as Proverbs 12:18 teaches, our words have the power to either destroy someone to to heal them. Ephesians 4:29 warns us to let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Our words are meant to bless others!

The words you speak impact the future of our nations. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 urges us to pray for our leaders. When we pray, God goes into action (Matthew 18:18-20)!

It is our duty as followers of Christ to pray for our countries, and to take authority of their outcomes with our prayers.

The words we speak are seeds planted into the spiritual realm for our future. The words we speak and the prayers we petition to God pave the path of our futures.

Realize the power of your words in your life, the lives of others, and in your nation!

Use your voice in shaping your future!
