In The Love Of Christ

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ~ Colossians 3:1-3

One of the most common struggles in life is finding ourselfs, discovering who we are.

When we find ourselves in a sea of guilt and sin, it can be hard to remember who we are.

It can be easy to loose ourselves.

We ask ourselves, “ Who am I?” But how do we find ourselves?

The best way to discover who you are, who you are meant to be, is to get to know the one who designed you.

The only way you are ever going to truly find yourself is through Christ.

You won’t find yourself in your guilt.

You will only find yourself in the love of Christ.

In the love of Christ you are forgiven.

In the love of Christ you are whole.

In the love of Christ you are free.

In the love of Christ you are beautiful.

In the love of Christ you are healed.

In the love of Christ you are victorious.

In the love of Christ you are loved.

In the love of Christ you are restored.

Never Stop Growing

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

~ 2 Peter 3:18

We all have dreams, goals, and aspirations.

When we were designed, God put certain desires in our hearts that would ultimately lead us to the calling on our lives.

Just as a flower doesn’t bloom the moment it’s seed is planted in the soil however, none of us are who we are meant to be as soon as we are born.

In order to reach our goals, and live out the calling on our lives, we have to grow.

Never be satisfied with where you are.

Keep growing spiritually.

Keep growing mentally.

Keep growing your health.

As you keep excersising, watering, feeding, challenging, and building up your body, mind and spirit you will get closer to your goals, and become the person God intended for you to be!

An Attitude Of Faith

Faith is not a feeling.
Faith is a place.
Faith is an attitude.
In order to see miracles take place in your life, you must have an attitude of faith.
What does an attitude of faith look like?
One way to express your attitude is with your words!
We need to keep the attitude of speaking God’s Word no matter what!
Even when situations are hard and you have no idea how to get through it, speak the Word of God! Speak faith!
Instead of speaking our feelings, we need to speak the truth of God’s word into our lives!
Words have such an impact on our life (Proverbs 18:21)!
Even when times are hard, speak your faith!
God will take care of you!
Keep an attitude of faith!

A Time And A Place To Be Followers Of Christ

These past few months we have watched as our country has suffered.

We have seen over 50 lives lost, and over 500 others injured.

We have seen hurricane after hurricane destroy entire cities with floods.

We have seen political parties rise up against one another, and brother turning on brother. We have seen debates, hatred, accusations, and blames being thrown around the internet, television, and in written print.

Rather than come together during these times, we as a country have become numb to our own human nature.

There is a time and a place for everything.

There is a time to be political, and a time to be human.

There is a time to debate in love, and a time to just simply love.

There is a time to rejoice, and there is a time to weep.

There is a time to observe, and a time to take action.

There is a time to speak, and a time to reflect.

But no matter what time or place we may find ourselves in, as followers of Christ, the time to show His love never ends.

Now is now the time for hatred against one another.

Now is not the time for accusations and blame.

Now is not the time for debates and fights.

Now is the time for love.

Now is the time for support, and to come together.

Now is the time to cry with those in pain, and to rejoice over all the good we’ve seen come out of these tough situations.

I love reading and hearing about the stories of the people in the middle of these tragedies.

I love reading about their bravery to protect one another,

and their sacrifice to save a strangers life.

I love reading about the comfort and financial support that millions of Americans are pouring over those in need.

I love reading about the survivors comforting those who have lost loved ones.

I love seeing people be at their most human and caring for other humans.

I love seeing neighbors coming together to fill a need.

I love seeing the love of God work through people.

God touches people through people.

In the midst of the chaos in our own country, right now is the time and place to be a follower of Christ.

Now is the time to share God’s love.

Now is the time to show the world what it truly means to be Christian.

Being Christian is not a religion-

Being Christian means to have your own intimate relationship with God as we follow the steps of Christ to share His true everlasting love with the world.

Your love must be real. Hate what is evil. Do only what is good. Love each other in a way that makes you feel close like brothers and sisters.

And give each other more honor than you give yourself. As you serve the Lord, work hard and don’t be lazy. Be excited about serving him! Be happy because of the hope you have. Be patient when you have troubles. Pray all the time. Share with God’s people who need help.

Look for people who need help and welcome them into your homes.

Wish only good for those who treat you badly.

Ask God to bless them, not curse them. When others are happy, you should be happy with them. And when others are sad, you should be sad too. Live together in peace with each other. Don’t be proud, but be willing to be friends with people who are not important to others.

Don’t think of yourself as smarter than everyone else. If someone does you wrong, don’t try to pay them back by hurting them. Try to do what everyone thinks is right. Do the best you can to live in peace with everyone. My friends don’t try to punish anyone who does wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with his anger. In the Scriptures the Lord says ‘I am the one who punishes; I will pay people back.’

But you should do this: ‘If you have enemies who are hungry, give them something to eat. If you have enemies who are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this you will make them feel ashamed.’

Don’t let evil defeat you, but defeat evil by doing good.”

~ Romans 12: 9-21

The Word Works

For many, when they hear the promises of God, they dismiss it.

“That will work for someone else,” they think. “But it certainly won’t help my situation.”

But that is not true!

The word works for every born again Child of God!

The word works for you!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17

God doesn’t play favorites!

He doesn’t give blessing to one child, and then neglect another. God is not a child abuser!

When God looks at you, He sees Jesus. He is reminded of the covenant He made with all of mankind through Christ.

All of His promises for the new covenant are found in His word!

Apply God’s Word To Your Life. If you never apply God’s word to your life, and never use it, then how will it ever work for you?

Meditate on His Word.

Apply it to your life.

The Word of God is what you need for every situation!

The Word of God works for you!
